I am originally from Missouri, in the Midwest of the United States. Some small town called Marceline…OMG in the middle of nowhere, you think? You got that wrong. Marceline is famous! It is the hometown of nobody less than Walt Disney. Walt spent a great deal of his childhood years here and Main Street USA at the Disney parks is inspired by downtown Marceline. You didn’t know that, right!? Yes, Walt and I we share the same roots.
Where Walt found the Magic
I was born on a farm only five miles away from the Disney Hometown Museum, to my biological parents Smitty and Lola. Smitty is the tiny adventurous type, so I clearly came after him. It keeps bugging me that I had never gotten the chance to stroll down Mainstreet myself …imagine what could have happened! I might have been discovered. Was I born to be a star? To be a part of the Magic, as a world famous Disney character?
Will I get famous?
Well, the path of destiny took me elsewhere. One day, I was just a few weeks old, a big car stopped in front of the house. A guy came walking up to me, picked me up, put me a in box and took me on a long trip. All the way to New York. That’s when my real mission started…
