Aka: The Living Room of Amsterdam. Bulldog might be the most famous of all coffeeshops in Amsterdam and has a rich history. Owner Henk de Vries had taken over his fathers sexshop in 1975 and turned it into a coffeeshop. Inspired by his dog Joris the place got its famous name. All locations have kept the cozy hippie charme and extremely relaxed atmosphere. More info

LA TERTULIA

Located in the heart of Amsterdam for over 27 years this coffeeshop has been one of the oldest in the city and it is one of the most original. A cosy place with open terrace in the summer and right next to the wall mural of Vincent van Gogh. More info

An coffeeshop experience of the other kind, very different from the traditional ones. After passing the concierge you enter a fusion of chemist and smoke shop-type of interior. Old-fashioned counter, shelves and cabinets, staff wearing white coats. Not for seating, just pick-up. More info

EASY TIMES
Prinsengracht 476
Easy Times has been one of the leading coffeeshops in Amsterdam since its opening in 1985. Its interior is a mix between an upscale cafe and an urban nightclub. Located directly at the Prinsengracht you can enjoy sitting outside alongside the canal in the summer. More info
