Last Sunday was World Animal Day. The day when we dogs get a new toy, a super yummie treat, a massage, extra cuddles…you name it. Call me a spoiled brat but hey, that’s what I get every single day anyway. So take a guess what we did? Bingo, you got it!
Organizer of the Online-Bingo-for-dogs-and-people-day was of course my favourite OOPOEH pack. For their members they do regular events with a high dog-IQ. A walk in the Amsterdam forest was on the agenda but had to be cancelled due to Corona. So they just switched to Online Bingo. Isn’t that brilliant?
I had never played Bingo before but I heard it’s very stimulating. Totally unlike its image of being the old folks’ favourite game. It has to do with balls and treats, as reward. I was wide awake and determined to win!
This is Brecht. She opened the event and welcomed the Bingo pack. Hang on…..who is this dachshund sitting next to Brecht? He is staring at me the whole time. I swear! Does he think he is cute or what?? Very irritating and extremely tiring.….
…rrzzh….I was just about dozing off when Brecht gave me this pitiful look. Come on, no one has told me that Mr. Cute Guy was just a cardboard dummy! Pretty ridiculous.
Ahhh…Here is our quizmaster Bianca. Or shall I say quizmastress? Ok, quizmaster* then. Bianca explained the rules really well, even the dumbest dog would get it. At least that’s what I thought…until I noticed that all these numbers….started to kick in…so…hmm

When Jolie and Bianca started to turn the mill with the bingo balls I was wide awake again. The two work as a team: Bianca draws the balls and Jolie makes sure that everything runs smooth and is done correctly.
Look at Jolie. She checks every single bingo ball after the draw, what’s normally done by a notary. No problem guys. You can trust Jolie, she is a Pro.
Suddenly Gijs, Jolie’s friend dropped by with a big flower bouquet. What’s this for? Does Gijs have a crush on Jolie? Look at him….it’s pretty obvious if you ask me. Come on Gijs, go for it!
Then Bianca dropped the bomb: It was Jolie’s birthday today! Gijs brought her birthday flowers…OMG this is so romantic! Then the whole Bingo pack started barking Happy Birthday….It was so moving.

What…he… Did I miss something? Did somebody say Bingo?? Oh no, I had dozed off again…so is there a winner? It is not me, that’s for sure.
Aaahh.. Ellen’s dog won! I was relieved. And I tell you why. Because we dogs at OOPOEH stand together. As one. We share everything, also the prices that we win. Right Nelson? I know you will keep some of the treats for me, don’t you?
