Amsterdam Pride Walk

This year, the Pride celebrates its 25th anniversary. After 2 years lockdown I can’t believe that a Pride Walk will take place. Binkie and I are ecstatic. Of course, we will go. Binkie is a real sweetheart and looks real innocent, but she has an eccentric side about her, I mean in a positive way. Nobody can resist her charm and she has allure. That’s why they call her „Beyonce of the Vondelpark“.

We are crazy about the Amsterdam Pride. Countless gorgious, good smelling, well-built guys and girls all over the city. We are more than ready to take off!

At Rokin we settle down to wait for the crowd to arrive. I am tense but there is a lot of distraction. Great views all around. Come on Binkie, not so obvious!

Happy Pride guys!

Suddenly the air starts vibrating and gets filled with a deep, roaring sound. My heart is beating faster. They are coming. Finally!

Heavy motorbikes decorated with rainbow flags turn on to Rokin, slowly passing us with proud stance. What a sublime moment!I hear Binkie yelling behind me: Let’s get the party started!! And gone she was. I turn around and…

OMG! Here she is! Starting her flirt attack. Not that she is throwing herself at people, no it’s the opposite. People are crazy about Binkie. They are literally standing in line to be on a picture with her.

EVERYBODY loves Binkie! And Binkie loves everybody. The whole lgtbq* community literally embraces her.

The event reaches its climax when Binkie comes to the forefront of the march. She is the undisputed star of the Pride Walk and has become an iconic figure for what the PRIDE is all about:

Be who you are, love who you want!

Proud of you Bink!

The party is almost over and we are about to leave when this boat – loaded with a group of sexy guys – is riding past us again. Everybody is dancing and having a great time. Do you hear that?? He is calling me. Yes, ME!!!

I had remained discreetly in the background during the Pide Walk so Binkie could shine. But after all, also I am getting my five minutes of fame.
