The cozy restaurant on the ground floor of the historic 19th century building in the Vondelpark is a perfect place for breakfast, lunch or afternoon get-togethers. Delicious salads, sandwiches and cakes. On the upper floor the building houses a radio station and cultural event center. Open daily from 10 h – 18 h. More info

HET BLAUWE THEEHUIS
Vondelpark
The modernistic pavillion is a gem from the Bauhaus era. When it opened its doors in 1938 the place used to be a tea house as the name implies. The local brewery ’t IJ took over in 2018 and made it a beer proof place where you can choose from a variety of beers. They also serve coffee, pastry and cake as well as simple dishes such as pizza. A lot of dog owners come by in the morning for a cup of coffee, enjoying the morning air on the terrace. Open daily 9 h – 21 h, Fri and Sat 9 h – 22 h. More info

GROOT MELKHUIS
Vondelpark
Groot Melkhuis was established in 1874 and used to be a small farm. Today the traditional Dutch-style building is a bistro, serving cake and pastriesd but also sandwiches, soups and salads. Not only its special charme but also the stretched-out patio along the water make it a cool place to sit and have a drink or bite. Open from 10 h – 17 h. More info
